Welcome to this week’s edition of the Sunday Round Up where I share a variety of posts from the web related to health, wellness, fitness and more! In this week’s edition I’ve got some great stuff for you, so check out whichever links you want and share amongst your friends and family if you see something you like.

Do kindergarten students really need “Fun Snack Days”? That’s the question Canadian Dr. Yoni Freedman has in this brief, yet thought provoking post about how we are training our children to think about food. Check out Yoni’s website here for more great posts.

According to Tim Ferris in this short video/blog post, 80% of the Top Business Leaders meditate. In this short post by The Daily Cup of Yoga, you will also hear how a few business leaders are incorporating meditation into their personal and professional lives.

When you hear the term “Fitness” what comes to mind? If you are like most people, image is one of the first things that pop. Fitness magazines and ads portraying a very small fraction of the population tends to be the common way to demonstrate ‘fitness’. However,  on the Movenat website, Dr. Christa Whiteman has a great post called Fitness Isn’t Image that I think you would be very interested in reading.

On the MentalityWod website, Dawn Fletcher talks about how we can more effectively connect with other people. This is a good read if you are tired of talking about the weather, gossiping or complaining.

When I came across this post from Wellness Mama I knew I had to share it with you! Check out this amazing recipe for Meatloaf Cupcakes with Sweet Potato Frosting! I know what we will be eating this week!!!

I’ve been an Ido Portal fan for a number of years. He’s an incredible mover and his method is much different that the typical fitness routines you will see, however as a believer in movement based fitness, I think there will be more of a focus on systems like this one in the years to come.
Check out this video of Ido’s mother who started training in his system when she was 58 years young!

Last but not least. Check out this cool post from the INLP Centre about your subconscious mind and pick up 9 facts and strategies that can help you respond well when your mind is dishing out negativity.

That’s all for this week’s round up! I hope you enjoy the posts and if you have any questions or comments, I’d love to hear from you so feel free to comment below!!

Until next time,

Karl:)
