Months ago I got a phone call from my wife to tell me the car had a flat tire. Not long after the call, I had changed the tire and we were on our way.
On the way home I thought about how my father taught me to change tires when I was a kid. Back then, we didn’t have cell phones and it was important to know how to fix a flat, especially if our on a country road in the middle of nowhere.
Today, it’s easy to call for help but that option may not always be available. Phone batteries die, service may not be perfect or you may have forgotten the phone and will be out of options.
So why not learn how to change a flat? It could be that one thing you need in a pinch.

Learning how to navigate the obstacles that may show up by knowing how to fix a tire or start a camp fire could at the most extreme situations be life saving.
Perhaps understanding more about finances can help keep you out of financial trouble in the future. Maybe understanding and applying the things you learn about health will lead to a longer, more vibrant life.
